The 130 year old Chijmes building on Victoria Street has been beautifully restored as a shopping, dining and entertainment precinct. Esplanade Theatres on the Bay is home to a concert hall that seats 1,600 and a theatre for 2,000. Rochester Park Restaurants

One of Singapore’s newest dining regions, Rochester Park was launched in 2006 in a number of preserved black and white colonial bungalows. Once home to British military officers, the buildings have been remodelled with modern kitchens to serve a mix of oriental and western cuisines. Diners can sit inside the wonderfully restored bungalows, or outside in the lush greenery of maintained gardens.
