Singapore Art Galleries
Singapore has always been a culturally diverse city, a place where you can find evidence of so many cultural influences. This diversity has made for a thriving and ever intriguing assortment of Art Galleries in Singapore city.
Since the early 1990s the government has been promoting the city as a centre for arts and culture, a cosmopolitan “gateway between the East and West”. You’d only have to visit a few of the several Art Galleries spread throughout the City to see this for yourself.
Take a tour of any one of dozens of museums that range from contemporary art, French, Asian, ancient, colonial, film or sculpture just to name a few.
If you don’t have time to visit more than one, at least try to make it to the National Museum of Singapore. This is the nation’s oldest museum which opened over 120 years ago. There are several exhibitions on at any one time, often displaying art from galleries all over the world.
