Orchard Road Bars Singapore
Orchard Road is without a doubt, the best place to shop in Singapore. There are literally hundreds of stores and the shops stay open late. What you may not realise is that there are a number of bars and clubs on the strip that can offer a momentary respite from the ‘stress’ of shopping all day, or a place to party all night long.
You’ll find these bars scattered right throughout the shopping precinct, some on the street amid the shops and restaurants, some up a few floors of the classy hotels offering views of the scrambling shoppers below.
The greatest concentration of bars is on Emerald Hill opposite the Somerset MRT. This collection of restored shophouses has been re-restored as trendy bars and nightclubs. On the outside they can be rather inconspicuous so you have to know where to look, but inside they are full of slick, modern décor, lounges, pool tables and colourful cocktails.
